Understanding the peculiar features of "Scientific English" by reading together a series of key papers and commentaries making the history of science.
Some of the proposed papers:

Reading, understanding and using scientific English.

Each student will read one paper and discuss it (or a part of it) at first with the academic tutor and following with the other attendants during a series of meetings. When necessary an university student or the tutor will join the discussion to explain particularly challenging technical issues.
